The tongue of the boot features a metatarsal protection cover, which acts as a shield over the player's foot when laced up. This helps redistribute energy from impacts across the skate, providing optimal protection against foot injuries. The skate's reinforced boot is able to withstand the pressure of even larger-footed skaters, thanks to its completely reinforced construction. Longer rivets are also used to create a larger mushroom cap, ensuring better adherence to the outsole of the boot.
